Helter Skelter | The UK's only office building with a permanent three storey helter skelter

"The only three storey, permanent helter skelter in a UK office building. Descending 85 (26.5m) feet in 7 seconds the Electric Works Helter Skelter is an interactive installation that energises the reception atrium and reminds visitors that this is a unique community of creative and technology businesses. "

Since its launch in March 2009, the Helter Skelter has made the ElectricWorks one of the most famous buildings in the UK alongside well known London buildings such as 'The Gherkin', South Bank and 'The Ark'. but whilst these buildings are famous none of them cater specifically for the Creative and Digital industries and certainly don't have the 'tongue-in-cheek' element of fun that the Helter Skelter provides. Recent conversations with London creatives highlighted that there is a want for this type of building in the capital city.

The Helter Skelter has attracted widespread national and international coverage with bloggers, and across other social networks mediums, becoming a signifier of inspiration for people to rethink how they create truly stimulating and different environments for the work place.

Open during working hours, the unusual installation is available for anyone working in the building to use but there are, of course, lifts and stairs for those who would prefer a more demure descent than travelling at speed via the steel and transparent tube.

The ElectricWorks Helter Skelter is designed to challenge the normal conventions of the working environment, creating a more exhilarating place for people to work. We believe this is achieved by the way the Helter Skelter represents 'attitude and values'. In the current climate businesses have to roll with the punches, adopt new technologies fast and embrace change to stay one step ahead of the competition. They need the best people with the most talent and we help you attract those people - clients and potential staff. Visitors will certainly remember you and their visit, whether they travel down the slide or not. Company applicants will view the slide as a representation that your company is progressive, pioneering and somewhere they will enjoy working.
